Visesa awards the construction of the bridge that will join San Ignacio with Zorrotzaurre to the temporary partnership formed between Ferrovial-Agroman and Viconsa
Visesa (Vivienda y Suelo de Euskadi S.A.) has awarded the contract for the construction works of the bridge that will join San Ignacio with Zorrotzaurre to the temporary partnership (UTE) formed by the companies Ferrovial-Agroman S.A. and Viconsa S.A.
The bid submitted by the winning UTE stood at €8,337,611.20 (ex. VAT). The baseline budget for the tender was €10,198,702.20 (ex. VAT) and the period stipulated for performance of the works is 17 months.
Eleven companies, all temporary partnerships (UTEs), submitted bids in this tender process.
The bridge that will join the San Ignacio district (just a short distance from the new IDOM headquarters) with the future Zorrotzaurre island has been designed by the civil engineers Enrique Elkoroberezibar and Sergio Saiz, from the firm LKS Ingeniería. It will be 75 metres long, with no support structures on the riverbed and measure a total width of 28 metres. The width will be allocated as follows: 6.7 metres to the roadway for two lanes of road traffic; 7.0 metres for two exclusive bus lanes; 2.5 metres for a two-way bidegorri (cycle lane); and 8.8 metres for two pedestrian footpaths.
